“…The maximum quantum yield value was measured for EuP 2 Mo 17 under intra‐4f 6 excitation (Table 4). The measured values for hybrid 4 (smaller than that of the precursor compound) are similar to those found for SiO 2 ‐poly(ethylene glycol) and SiO 2 ‐glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane systems with K 13 [Eu(SiMo x W 11– x O 39 ) 2 ] (0.031–0.034) 29. Although the quantum yield values of TbP 2 W 17 lie below the detection limits of our equipment (0.01), the presence of HpicOH moieties in hybrid 6 leads to an enhancement in the quantum yield values to 0.08 (320–350 nm excitation wavelength).…”

“…[29] However, it hinders possible applications as phosphors, as the hybrid host, in some cases, plays the role of a protective cage, strongly decreasing the UV degradation rate. This feature has been demonstrated by different groups in the literature [30][31][32]80,149] (Fig. 9), and could be employed in new UV dosimeters sensitive to specific wavelengths selectively detected, since the absorption properties of the organic-inorganic hybrid host may be easily chemically tuned.…”

“…[128] The in situ formation of Eu 3þ complexes generally induces also an enhancement of the emission quantum efficiency, compared to those of the pure complexes. [126] Hybrids incorporating either Eu(CF 3 SO 3 ) 3 [149] and for Ce 3þ -based organicinorganic hybrids (0.11). [203] For ordered hybrids only two examples have been reported so far, namely Eu 3þ -based lamellar hybrids self-templated through an hydrogen bonding array, with values below 0.01, [135] and Y 2 O 3 :Eu 3þ nanocrystalline structures, 0.16.…”

“…Incorporation of [Eu(SiMo x W 11Àx O 39 ) 2 ] 13À (x = 1, 3 and 5) in silica xerogel matrices has been reported to synthesize light emitting materials [50]. The influence of POM composition (parameter x) and of silica matrix nature on the luminescence parameters (emission intensity, lifetime and quantum yield) has been studied for these composite materials.…”
