Lusitrophic Effects of Dobutamine in Young and Aged Mice In Vivo

Abstract: Aged individuals have impaired diastolic relaxation–lusitropic function. Dobutamine, a selective B1-adrenergic agonist, is used to augment systolic cardiac function at the termination of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB).
