Luxação Fechada Pura do Tornozelo no Jiu-Jitsu

Abstract

Ankle fractures-dislocations are very common and are often associated with injuries in sports context. Ankle dislocations without associated tibia or fibula fractures, are extremely rare due to the ligamentous and capsular resistance of this joint, which exceeds bone resistance. We present a clinical case of a pure closed dislocation of the ankle that occurred during the practice of Jiu-Jitsu. After closed reduction, the patient underwent immobilization of the limb, which was followed by physiotherapy, obtaining satisfactory results, and returning to sports without restrictions after 4.5 months.
