Abstract:Investigating the structural interactions between blood and lymphatic endothelial cells at the microvascular level in adult tissues is critical for understanding how microvascular networks grow and function. In this issue, observations by Robichaux et al. (p. 1629) identify the presence of non‐lumenal lymphatic/blood endothelial cell connections and highlight the potential for endothelial cell plasticity. The cover image illustrates topical BSI‐lectin (orange) labeling of two blood capillary sprouts connecting… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
