Lymphoepithelial Carcinoma of the Nasal Cavity and Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis: Two Synchronous Neoplasms

Abstract: The authors report a case of a 78-year-old woman with two synchronous neoplasms: Langerhans cell histiocytosis and lymphoepithelial carcinoma of the nasal cavity. The histopathological findings are extremely rare and represent a challenge for the pathologist as the two malignancies coexist within the same tumoral tissue. A review of the literature is presented.
