Machine to machine communication enabled internet of things: a review

Abstract: Internet of things (IoT) will be the main part in upcoming generation devices that would not simply sense and report, also will have the controlling capability. It may be a connected vehicle, connected devices, robot, a building automation system, a door lock or a thermostat, these connected machines or devices will provide greater impact on our daily lives. Control data and the operating instructions could be protected to ensure control and autonomy for our safety and security, this could be a critical task. … Show more

“…Furthermore, ZigBee supports a lot of nodes (up to 65,000) and may thus be utilized to construct a large-scale WSN [66], [67]. ZigBee is used for short-distance radio networks, telemetry systems, various types of sensors, and surveillance devices [68] .With regard to its application in smart port operations [69], a ZigBee sensor network has been proposed that allows for increased security of container shipments by detecting door openings, temperature and humidity, photometry, and by tracking the location of containers via GPS. ZigBee can also be used in structural health monitoring.…”

“…The response of IoT during real-world submissions, such as home computerization, industrial automation and city mechanization resulted in a plethora of micro multiplication campaigns and dynamismoperative announcement machineries, provisions, and protocols. IoT structures have been expansively laboring in requests of martial, agriculture, power organizations, education, and commerce [61].…”

“…By using sensors to determine the number of people present in a space, smart buildings, for instance, may reduce energy use. The temperature may be controlled automatically, for example by turning on the air conditioner if sensors detect that a conference room is full or by decreasing the temperature if everyone has left the office [47], [105], [157]- [161]. Linked sensors may be utilized by IoT-based smart farming systems to monitor the light, temperature, humidity, and soil moisture of agricultural areas.…”
