Abstract: The term "Indigenous" is used throughout this article to refer collectively to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of Australia. Similarly, "Indigenous Heritage" refers to both tangible and intangible elements of culture. In this definition, tangible cultural elements include not only Darug country itself, which is a tangible and ongoing responsibility of Indigenous people
