Magnesium and Calcium Isotopic Geochemistry of Silica‐Undersaturated Alkaline Basalts: Applications for Tracing Recycled Carbon

Abstract: Carbon plays important roles in the evolution of the atmosphere and biosphere, and geochemical differentiation in Earth's interior. Most subducted C is recycled to the deep mantle and returns to the surface by degassing from erupted basalts and associated fluids.
