Abstract:We perform a theoretical and experimental investigation of the magnetic properties of a series of Mn-substituted non-stoichiometric cobalt ferrite nanopowders. We propose a theoretical approach based on the Stoner–Wohlfarth model of coherent rotation of single-domains, considering mean-field interactions between the nanograins. In particular, we provide a detailed description of the magnetic anisotropy behavior, considering tetragonal distortions of the cubic spinel structure of the system. Our model shows tha… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
