“…However, the nature of nanoclusters present in our samples seems to be dierent than the presence of CrTe related phases, such as Cr 7 Te 8 , Cr 5 Te 6 , and Cr 3 Te 4 with T C > 300 K [11], since we do not observe room temperature ferromagnetism. The magnetic properties of our samples are also dierent than the ones reported for Cr 5 Te 8 (with 190 > T C > 245 K [12]), Cr 2 Te 3 (with T C = 170 K [13]), and CrTe 2 (with T C = 18 K [14]). It is more probable that the large size of our inhomogeneities and high carrier concentration, n > 10 20 cm −3 , can cause the long range itinerant carrier-mediated magnetic interactions to be the most signicant in our samples.…”
