Magnetic properties of Cu and Al doped nano BaFe12O19 ceramics

Abstract: The BaCuxFe12-xO19 and BaAlxFe12-xO19 (x = 0.0, 0.4, 0.8, 1.2) materials were prepared via sol-gel auto combustion technique. Further, the X-ray diffraction patterns suggested the formation of single phase hexagonal structure. This work is aimed to study the effect of diamagnetic and paramagnetic elements on magnetic characteristics of BaFe12O19. The results established that in the case of diamagnetic (Cu) substitution, the saturation magnetization was increased and decreased alternatively. Furthermore, it was… Show more

“…Recently, many researchers have been investigated the impact of rare-earth (RE) substitutions in Fe or Ba (Sr) sites on saturation magnetization, coercivity and anisotropy of M-type hexagonal ferrites [108][109][110][111]. Use a suitable ratio of rare earth ions, a significant change in both structural and magnetic properties will be obtained due to the influence of the rare earth ions on magneto crystalline anisotropy, coercive field with magnetization and on the grain growth [112].…”
