Magnetic Resonance Imaging Measurements in Engineering Science

Abstract: Magnetic Resonance Imaging is used here to study four phenomena: two-phase water/oil flow in porous media, rheology of fiber suspensions, natural convection in complex fluids and water diffusion in polymer membranes. These studies required the use or development of appropriate devices to maintain controlled external conditions in terms of mechanical stress, temperature or humidity.
