Abstract:In this paper, a state estimation problem is solved with the Steady-State Kalman filter for the nonintrusive measurements of the temperature inside the human body, with the magnetic resonance technique. The paper is focused on temperature measurements during the hyperthermia treatment of cancer imposed by radiofrequency waves. The coupled bioheat transfer and electromagnetic problems are numerically solved in a realistic twodimensional geometry obtained from the Visual Human Dataset. The tumor is considered lo… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
