“…In the AFM ground state, Cr shows a large local moment of 3.18µ B , and the lattice parameters are estimated to be a = 4.02 Å, c = 3.70 Å. The local moment of 3.18µ B is very close to the value 3.0µ B given by Oguchi and Freeman [10] for the [Cr 1 ML/Au 1 ML] superlattice and 3.2µ B for the antiferromagnetic alloy Au 4 Cr [14][15][16]. A recent experimental result for a Cr/Ag superlattice obtained by Kyuno et al [17] also shows that the Cr monolayer is antiferromagnetic.…”

“…In the AF1 ground state, Cr shows a large local moment of 3.30µ B , and the lattice constants are estimated to be a = 4.04 Å, c = 3.71 Å. The local moment, 3.30µ B , is close to the value 3.2µ B for an antiferromagnetic Au 4 Cr alloy [24]. The lattice constant a is close to 4.08 Å, the lattice constant for fcc Ag, and c = 3.71 Å, which is in agreement with the experimental value of ∼3.78 Å for the [Cr 1 ML/Ag 10 ML] superlattice given by Kyuno et al [5].…”
