Magnetite@poly(p-phenylenediamine) core–shell composite modified with salicylaldehyde for adsorption and separation of Mn (VII) from polluted water

Abstract: Fe3O4@PpPD) composite modified with salicylaldehyde (SA) was fabricated as adsorbent to remove Mn (VII) from wastewater. The Fe3O4 microspheres endow the adsorbent with the ability of rapid solid-liquid separation. The PpPD with acid and alkali resistance can protect Fe3O4 from corrosion while introducing a large amount of N atoms to adsorb Mn (VII). The introduction of SA increases the specific surface area and adsorption sites of the adsorbent. The effects of pH, time and temperature on the adsorption proces… Show more

“…If R L is equal to 1, it is a linear adsorption process. When the value of R L is between 0 and 1, it indicates a process that promotes adsorption with a significant adsorption effect . The calculated R L values of MB, MG, RhB, CR, AR1, and Mn(VII) are 2.65 × 10 –2 , 1.67 × 10 –3 , 3.88 × 10 –2 , 5.02 × 10 –2 , 1.54 × 10 –2 , and 4.65 × 10 –2 , respectively, and all of which are between 0 and 1, indicating that the Fe 3 O 4 @PPy@SDS composite is a highly effective adsorbent for the removal of MB, MG, RhB, CR, AR1, and Mn(VII) from an aqueous solution.…”

“…The prepared Fe 3 O 4 @PPy@4-VP composites possess high adsorption performances for a variety of dyes, exhibiting a huge potential in the treatment of dyes from wastewater. 58 0.6 g of (C 3 H 3 NaO 2 ) n was added to 40 mL of distilled water and stirred thoroughly using a magnetic mixer. Similarly, 1.35 g of FeCl 3 • 6H 2 O, 2.9 g of C 6 H 5 Na 3 O 7 , and 1 g of CH 4 N 2 O were added into 40 mL of distilled water and stirred thoroughly with a magnetic stirrer to form a homogeneous yellow-green solution.…”
