Magneto-electro-elastic vibration of moderately thick FG annular plates subjected to multi physical loads in thermal environment using GDQ method by considering neutral surface

Abstract: The vibration analysis of an annular plate made up of functionally graded magneto-electro-elastic materials subjected to multi physical loads is presented. The plate is in thermal environment and temperature is distributed non-uniformly in its thickness direction. In addition, the plate is assumed moderately thick, the material properties vary through the thickness, and the exact neutral surface position is determined and took into account. According to Hamilton’s principle and the first-order shear deformatio… Show more

“…It seems also that CET-based predictions are always more conservative than those once based on a MCST, in agreement with findings in Refs. [46][47][48][49][50] from the literature. Another key aspect of the problem can be the sensitivity of the response to various GPLs dispersions in the Epoxy matrix over a wide range of mode numbers, as listed in Table 4.…”

“…The position of the neutral surface of the plate is determined to satisfy the first moment with respect to elastic stiffness being zero as follows 35 where C shows the distance of the mid-plane of the plate from the neutral surface position and z ms is measured from the mid-surface. Consequently, it can be obtained as …”
