“…The plantar calcaneonavicular ligament strengthened due to the tibialis posterior tendon in the fetuses (Uchiyama et al, 2014). The anterior and posterior talofibular ligaments also developed during early gestation (Kim et al, 2022). It is likely that these tendons and ligaments pushed the tarsal bones onto the early elongated malleolus of tibia.…”
