Abstract: The overexpression of receptor tyrosine kinase AXL is linked to acquired drug resistance in cancer treatments. Aptamers, acting as antibody surrogates, have been envisioned as potential inhibitors for AXL. However, aptamers face difficult pharmacological challenges including rapid degradation and clearance.
