Malignancies in adult kidney transplant candidates and recipients: current status

Abstract: Posttransplant malignancies, particularly recurrent and de novo, in solid organs including kidney transplant recipients (KTRs) are a significant complication associated with substantial mortality, largely attributed to long-term immunosuppression necessary to maintain allograft tolerance.
