Abstract:This article will discuss the topic of malnutrition, with a focus on undernutrition. It will utilise a case study seen in clinical practice and analyse and synthesise the relevant evidence relating to malnutrition in older adults. It will also explore the role of the advanced practitioner in the assessment and management of malnutrition to reduce the risk of refeeding syndrome.
