Abstract:Summary: Small intestinal biopsies from nine patients with sucrase‐isomaltase deficiency (sucrose‐intolerance) were analyzed. All patients lacked sucrase activity and three patients had a residual isomaltase activity and a corresponding isomaltase precipitate following immunoelectrophoresis.
