“…In a chart review of 101 pancreatitis patients from the United States, the incidence per trimester was 1st, 2nd and 3rd at 24%, 33% and 43%, respectively, which also included chronic pancreatitis and did not distinguish SAP from MAP [1]. The proportion of SAP in this study also fits the rule that frequency increases with gestational age (1st, 2nd, 3rd at 0%, 11.1%, 88.9%, respectively) with a much larger span.…”
