Abstract:Periprosthetic hip fractures are recognized complications associated with total hip arthroplasty. Over the past decade, there has been a 2.5-fold increase in the incidence of periprosthetic fractures which is expected to grow exponentially in the future. Most of these fractures require surgical fixation or revision arthroplasty.
