Abstract:Squamous dysplasia precedes invasive squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus, but there is limited evidence on its surgical management. The “field change effect” further complicates matters, causing multifocal or second primary neoplasms in the esophagus and upper aerodigestive tract.
