Management of Pyometra Using a Novel Image-Guided Percutaneous Technique: A Case Report

Abstract: Pyometra is a uterine infection that causes pus to accumulate in the uterine cavity. Pyometra primarily affects postmenopausal women. Multiple aetiologies, including cervical stenosis, have been identified. Medical therapy using intravenous antibiotics and surgical evacuation are the conventional treatment options for pyometra.
