“…However, the framework considered only one source of water, which restricts consumers' preference by the resource transfer cost. In, 38 a heuristics algorithm was developed and embedded within an agent‐based model to achieve the best storage in storage devices allocated in different cities with limited energy exchange within cities. The limitation of this heuristic's algorithm is that it did not consider energy exchange between regions.…”

“…This work presents an improved heuristics algorithm that minimizes the impact of energy shortages across different regions rather than cities, considering surpluses and shortages of energy at each region and making energy exchange between regions possible. The work extends that of 38 by presenting an agent‐based model that includes a different purpose, structure, and functionality heuristics algorithm than presented in 38 for strategic planning and distribution of energy to support any region struggling to satisfy its energy requirements. The proposed algorithm should also assist any region short of electricity to satisfy its demand by receiving energy from one of its possible neighbor regions.…”

“…Waste resource utilization and climate change are the most compelling problems of today's world [1]. Therefore, finding and exploiting alternative energy sources has become a hot topic in the energy and environmental research fields.…”

“…The problem with these advances is that this type of system introduces an added difficulty in the power system management since they have a strong dependence on the meteorology [ 2 , 3 ] and the mobility needs of the users [ 4 , 5 ]. This uncertainty and variability, together with its increasing deployment of this kind of system, is creating problems due to the overage of the distribution line power capacity.…”
