Abstract:Hyperprolactinemia is a condition characterized by persistently elevated blood prolactin level. The most prominent manifestations of it are reproductive dysfunction, as well as fat and carbohydrate metabolism disorders, including body weight gain, dyslipidemia, impaired glucose tolerance, and insulin resistance.
