Managing the many intrusions of death in forensic mental health services

Abstract: My father was a murderer.' So said a young woman with anorexia nervosa as she responded, with little emotion, to a question about her family during a routine clinical interview with one of us. This was all she knew about her father. He was never otherwise spoken about in the part of the family that had tried to nurture her.
