Manejo de vía aérea en paciente con leontiasis ossea. Reporte de caso

Abstract: Leontiasis ossea is an uncommon complication of advanced chronic kidney disease that alters the facial bone and the airway, making its perioperative management more complex. We present a clinical case of a female with Leontiasis ossea presenting a difficult airway which requires parathyroidectomy. Assessment, planning and management of the airway by awake intubation is described.
