“…As far as we know, there are no reports concerning the formation constants of the manganese(II) complexes with pyrazine, quinoxaline or phenazine in methanol or any other solvent. Nevertheless, a few manganese(II) complexes with pyrazine- [ 26 , 27 , 28 , 29 ], quinoxaline- [ 30 , 31 , 32 ] or phenazine- [ 33 , 34 ] based ligands have been reported before. The electronic spectra of the methanol solutions of manganese(II)–pyrazine complexes are shown in Figure S1 , those for the manganese(II)–quinoxaline complex are shown in Figure S2 and those for the manganese(II)–phenazine complex are shown in Figure S3 .…”

“…In order to gain insight into the oxidation states and electronic configuration of the metal centers, magnetic susceptibility studies were completed for both [Mn III Mn II 3 (Pm 2 ImAm) 3 Cl 6 ] and [Fe III 4 (Pm 2 ImAm) 3 Cl 9 ] ; full experimental details are provided below ( see experimental section ). For completeness, magnetic susceptibility studies were also performed on [Mn II 2 ( µ ‐Cl) 2 (Pm 2 ImAm) 2 Cl 2 ] , revealing characteristic behavior for a high spin dinuclear Mn II complex (Figure ) . The variable temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements of [Mn II 2 ( µ ‐Cl) 2 (Pm 2 ImAm) 2 Cl 2 ] yielded a χT product of 8.71 cm 3 K mol –1 at 300 K ( g exp = 1.98), indicative of two non‐interacting S = 5/2 ions ( χT calc = 8.75 cm 3 K mol –1 , assuming g = 2.00).…”

“…Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra were obtained with a Nicolet spectrometer (KBr). 1 H NMR and 13 C NMR spectra were recorded with a Bruker DRX500 spectrometer. X-ray diffraction (XRD) was conducted using a Bruker D8 Advance instrument.…”

“…Hanhan et al prepared binuclear Pd(II) complex catalysts for Suzuki coupling in water . Meanwhile, there are many transition metal Schiff base complexes, such as Fe, V, Cu, Co, Ag, Pd and Mn, that are widely used in catalytic oxidation of alcohols. Although these homogeneous transition metal complexes provide satisfying outcomes in the oxidation of alcohols to corresponding carbonyl compounds, they are still more or less associated with problems including contamination of reaction products and difficulty of separation .…”
