Abstract:Modern physics distinguishes three fundamental properties of atomic nuclei: mass; spin and related magnetic moment; volume (surrounding field strength), which are the source of isotope effects. The experiments showed that the isotope substitution of the light isotope with the hard one increased the band-to-band transition energy Eg, as well as the exciton binding energy Ebboth in semiconductors and insulators. The representative manifestation of the spin has been observed in photoluminescence excitation spectr… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
