MapWeb: A location-based converged communications platform

Abstract

Location information is a valuable tool in personal communicationover IP (VoIP) and video streaming can be made available in wireless networks. At the same time, using information uniquely available in wireless networks, we will be able to create novel applications that are unavailable in traditional networks. Location is one example of this type of information, which enables such applications as iLocator [5] for tracking buddies or searching services in a certain area.The trend toward convergence may also change the ways that users communicate. Context-Based Trip Planning in Infomobility System for Public Transport
