Quantum technologies have become powerful tools for a wide range of application disciplines, which tend to range from chemistry to agriculture, natural language processing, and healthcare due to exponentially growing computational power and advancement in machine learning algorithms. Furthermore, the processing of classical data and machine learning algorithms in the quantum domain has given rise to an emerging field like quantum machine learning. Recently, quantum machine learning, become a quite challenging field in case of healthcare applications. As a result, quantum machine learning has become a common and effective technique for data processing and classification across a wide range of domains. Consequently, quantum machine learning is the most commonly used application of quantum computing. The main objective of this work is to present a brief overview of current state-of-the-art published articles between 2013 and 2021 to identify, analyze, and classify the different QML algorithms and applications in the biomedical field. Furthermore, the approach adheres to the requirements for conducting systematic literature review techniques such as research questions and quality metrics of the articles. Initially, we discovered 3149 articles, excluded the 2847 papers, and read the 121 full papers. Therefore, this research compiled 30 articles that comply with the quantum machine learning models, and quantum circuits are using biomedical data. Eventually, this article provides a broad overview of quantum machine learning limitations and future prospects.

Prominence of Analytical Chemistry in Modern-Day Healthcare: Current Medical Discoveries, Student Perspectives, and Systems Thinking

In the course of two years (2018 and 2020), anatomists and medical professionals became wonderstruck by two significant organ discoveries. The findings were previously undetected by conventional standards of medicine. Two different research groups and specialties, nonetheless, relied on applications founded on the principles of analytical chemistry education and techniques. In this article, I penned a discussion on both medical discoveries birthed through analytical processes. Secondarily, an examination of student perspectives on the versatility of analytical chemistry in healthcare and a review of the seemingly minimal representation (toward awareness) of analytical chemistry in health sciences programs are presented: Should there be a higher representation of analytical chemistry topics in undergraduate and graduate health profession programs? If so, what would be the plan of action? Increased notability of analytical chemistry in health sciences textbooks? Or the inception of a nontechnical novel analytical chemistry course for health sciences majors? Here, I attempt to answer these questions and present a plausible solution with the goal of acknowledging the prominence of analytical chemistry in medicine today.

Apresentamos os resultados de um estudo que analisa o uso do filme Radioactive como vetor de popularização da ciência e como recurso didático para a discussão de aspectos sociológicos da atividade científica e da natureza da ciência na formação inicial de professores de física. Para tanto, analisamos o filme sob o ponto de vista de sua correspondência com os fatos históricos e discutimos como os alunos o perceberam durante sua exibição em um curso de licenciatura em física. A análise evidencia que a cinebiografia apresenta equívocos históricos que podem gerar uma compreensão errônea do contexto abordado na obra. A presente intervenção didática indica que o enredo de Radioactive pode ser usado para a introdução de discussões sobre um conteúdo da física do século 20 e para o debate de elementos da natureza da ciência, na medida em que envolveu os estudantes em formação inicial na apreciação do conteúdo histórico e científico apresentado, bem como na reflexão e comparação sobre as ideias que possuíam sobre a radioatividade e aquelas apresentadas no filme. Os licenciandos consideraram o filme um recurso potencialmente útil, desde que se leve em consideração a contextualização da obra no cenário dos registros históricos.
