Analysis is made of water resources market, water prices, the state of the Russian and world mar kets of water and water management services, and the potentialities of their development. Long‐term series of measurements of eggs and chicks of Caspian terns (Hydroprogne caspia) breeding in Lake Chany, Western Siberia, Russia, during 1985 and 2011

“…Caspian terns ( Hydroprogne caspia Pallas, 1770) present a sub‐cosmopolitan but scattered distribution, and colonies are often situated hundreds and even thousands of kilometers apart. Presently, most of the Caspian tern colonies are in the vulnerable state (Belik, 2021); therefore, this species has been listed in the Red Data Book of the Russian Federation (Danilov‐Danilyan, 2001). The main limiting factors are the specific requirements of Caspian terns for nesting biotopes and the limited number of places suitable for nesting, requirements for the purity of the water due to their almost exclusive ichthyophagy, also exposure to disturbance during nesting.…”
