Speech is the ability of a person to convey their thoughts, desires and feelings to those around them in a certain way, provided that they learn this skill through experience during their development process from the moment they are born. Speaking skill, which is one of the four basic language skills in the Turkish curriculum, is a skill that individuals acquire both in social life and in educational environments and also try to develop in various educational situations. In this context, the aim of the study was determined to reveal the experiences of Turkish teachers regarding the implementation of speaking skills, one of the four basic language skills in Turkish teaching, in the secondary school Turkish teaching curriculum. The study was carried out with the phenomenology pattern, a qualitative research method. Seven Turkish teachers working in five different secondary schools in Yeşilyurt district of Malatya province participated in the study. Three of the participants in the study are female and five are male teachers. The data obtained in the study were collected through a semistructured interview in the light of the instructions determined for five days. The interviews were held at the teachers' convenience and in a safe environment. In the analysis of this collected data, codes, categories and themes were determined using content analysis. In the interviews, teachers stated that the gains in speaking skills in the Turkish curriculum were less compared to other language skills. Again, in light of the findings obtained in the study, teachers also stated that they had problems regarding the implementation of the achievements. In the context of the results obtained in the study, both effectiveness and practical studies should be carried out regarding the acquisition of speaking skills, and as a result of these studies, it was determined that teachers should be given various trainings. In addition, suggestions were made that it is necessary to communicate with teachers after the training and to support them in any problems they may encounter regarding the implementation of the gains.

This study aims to reveal the impact of multisensory learning model-based tale-telling on listening skills. The research was carried out under a hybrid research design using both quantitative and qualitative research methods together. The study group of the research consists of 13 fifth-grade students in total who were studying in a public school during the 2020 to 2021 academic year. Students were involved in the research voluntarily and with parental permission. The following data collection tools were used in the research: “Attitude Scale Towards Improving Listening Skills with Tales,” which was created by the researcher, tale diaries, and tale self-evaluation forms. Quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods were used to analyze the research data. T-test analysis was applied to the quantitative data after transferring them to the SPSS data analysis program; on the other hand, content analysis was used to analyze the qualitative data. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the multisensory learning method-based tale-telling has a positive impact on the attitudes of the fifth-grade students towards tale listening. In light of the results, it was concluded that parents were satisfied with the activities for multisensory tale-telling, students have understood the plots of the tales correctly, themes were remembered correctly by the students most of the time, and parents have shown a positive attitude towards tale listening.

Cahit Zarifoğlu’nun masallarının Türkçe öğretmeni adaylarının konuşma becerilerine etkisini ortaya koyup öğretmen adaylarının konuşma becerilerini geliştirmeyi amaçlayan bu araştırmada öntest-son test kontrol gruplu deneysel desen kullanılmış, araştırma öncesinde her iki gruba da konuşma becerisi derecelendirme ölçeği ön test olarak uygulanmıştır. Ardından dört haftalık uygulama yapılmış, uygulamada deney grubu öğrencilerine Cahit Zarifoğlu’nun masalları (“Serçekuş”, “Ağaçkakanlar”, “Katıraslan”, “Yürekdede ile Padişah”, “Küçük Şehzade”, “Motorlu Kuş”, “Kuşların Dili”) okutulmuş; sonrasında ise öğretmen adaylarına okudukları masallar üzerine konuşma, tartışma ve sunumlar yaptırılmıştır. Kontrol grubuna Cahit Zarifoğlu’nun masalları okutulmamış ve herhangi bir uygulama yapılmamıştır. Uygulama sonrasında ise her iki gruba da konuşma becerisi derecelendirme ölçeği son test olarak uygulanmıştır. SPSS paket programının kullanıldığı araştırmada veriler bağımsız örneklemler için t-testiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda Cahit Zarifoğlu’nun masallarının okutulan deney grubundaki öğrencilerin konuşma becerilerinin kontrol grubundaki öğrencilere göre önemli ölçüde geliştiği tespit edilmiştir. Konuşma becerisi kişinin kendini ifade etmekte kullandığı temel dil becerisi olduğu için öğretmenlerin de derslerde ve toplum içerisinde kendilerini ifade ederken en fazla konuşma becerisini kullanmaları dikkate alındığında Türkçe öğretmeni adaylarının konuşma becerilerinin Cahit Zarifoğlu’nun masalları aracılığıyla gelişmiş olması bu bakımdan önem taşımaktadır. Türkçe öğretmeni adaylarının temel dil becerilerinin edinimleri sırasında sorunla karşılaşmaları mesleğin kabul edilebilirliğini azaltacağı için öncelikle bu alandaki sorunların giderilerek, eksikliklerin çeşitli yollarla tamamlanabilmesi amacıyla etkinlikler yapılması gerekmektedir.
