“…By applying the same technique Ding et al 27 deduced a value of 13.15 eV. In an experiment with energy selected cluster ions the IP of the ͑CO͒ 2 was later determined to be 12.73Ϯ0.05 eV by Norwood et al.…”

“…It is worthy to mention that the EDS spectra and the quantitative EDS mapping did not indicate the presence of oxygen. The absence of oxygen in Ti 2 SnC_Ar + NCTF may be explained by the irradiation-induced ionization effect, which is reported to be pronounced not only in weakly bound Van der Waals elements but could be also occurred in systems with stronger bonds [ 33 , 34 , 35 ]. This ionization process can change both the equilibrium state and geometry of the overall system, including the Ti 2 SnC matrix and surface SnO “etched out” the Ti 2 SnC.…”

“…The only systematic photoionization study has been reported by Ding et al 20 The photoion yield measurements exhibited smooth increases in the threshold region. The appearance potentials of ArN 2 ϩ and Ar 2 N 2 ϩ were determined to be 14.7 and 14.5 eV, respectively.…”
