Abstract:The transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) is an effective method for the treatment of uncontrolled refractory ascites, pleural effusion, and variceal bleeding, but the risk of complications related to the procedure is high. Arteriobiliary fistula, which is manifested as hemobilia, is one of the major fatal complications of the TIPS.
