Mastication Process of Natural Rubber/Butadiene Rubber Blending: Validation Method on Influence of Peptizer

Abstract: The performance of tire tread is measured by the combination of “magic triangle properties.” They are rolling resistance, traction, and wear. To obtain high quality of tire tread, good quality of rubber compound is necessary to be prepared. Natural rubber (NR) has a wide application especially in tire tread. Cured Butadiene Rubber (BR) impacts excellent abrasion resistance and low rolling resistance due to its low glass transition temperature (Tg). Mastication process is a very important step in compounding pr… Show more

“…The available literature reports and patents mainly concern the application of TOR in asphalt mixtures, to which GTR is added [ 18 , 19 , 20 ]. Arti et al [ 21 ] investigated the influence of three types of peptizers: Vestenamer 8012, Aktiplast 8, and Rhenosin 145 on the mastication of natural rubber/butadiene rubber blends, proving that Vestenamer 8012 can significantly increase mechanical properties while optimizing the mastication process.…”
