Abstract:Dengue fever is a common disease which can cause shock, internal bleeding, and death in patients if a second infection is involved. In this paper, a multi-serotype dengue model with nonlinear incidence rate is formulated to study the transmission of two dengue serotypes. The dynamical behaviors of the proposed model depend on the threshold value R n 0 known as the reproductive number which depends on the associated reproductive numbers with serotype-1 and serotype-2. The value of R n 0 is used to reflect wheth… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
