Mathematical modelling of filtration processes in drainage systems using conformal mapping

Abstract: The situation when groundwater considerably rises above the “normal” level, water intake, lowering of groundwater levels and other relevant practical tasks require the drainage facilities. The most effective techniques of numerical studies of the corresponding boundary problems at present time are methods of dealing with inverse boundary value problems (conformal and quasi-conformal mappings). As basis of this research we used the case of combining the fictitious domain methods with quasi-conformal mappings of… Show more

“…The simultaneous study of any design solution's influence, the level and importance of any mine parameter and individual elements of the technological scheme on the generalized performance criterion give grounds for finding and choosing the most economical and technically feasible parameter (Sarycheva et al, 2003). The water filtration problem in conjunction with rock massif stability should also be taken into account (Moshynsky, 2001;Chui et al, 2018;Kuzlo et al, 2018;Bomba et al, 2018). At the same time, the complex mining parameters' optimization turns into a complex task, both logically and mathematically, especially if one starts from the idea of a mine as a developing object.…”

“…A number of papers con cern the development of hydrodynamic models as for the slur ry migration over a conic surface. Basically, the papers deter mine stationary parameters of the migration process [6,7], analyze effect of different factors on the hydraulic mixture nonuniform motion [8] as well as surface soil reclamation [9]. However, the papers pay insufficient attention to dynamic characteristics of the process and ignore roughness parameters of hard border of the stream.…”

“…In terms of energy-saving technologies, natural geosystem along with HPP and combustible artificial gases of well underground coal gasification (WUCG), basing upon the utilization of heat energy of gasification products (temperature of the well discharge gas is 600 -800°С) and heat storage tank, are of great interest. That helps use efficiently two energy sources simultaneously to provide an energy consumer with the required heat (Bondarenko, Tabachenko, & Wachowicz, 2010;Suyarko, Ishchenko, & Gavrilyuk, 2018;Bomba et al, 2018).…”
