Abstract:Drug delivery is an important factor for the success of ocular drug treatment. However, several physical, biochemical, and flow-related barriers limit drug exposure of anterior and posterior ocular target tissues during drug treatment via topical, subconjunctival, intravitreal, or systemic routes.
