Advent of GIS and Remote Sensing has revolutionized the spatial perspective of understanding the dynamics of visualization and analysis with the application of spatial data and non spatial data sets. These applications were also used in various other domains such as mineral exploration, agriculture, forestry, irrigation and watershed management, etc. Such sustainable geospatial tools which helps in capacity building and development of academic courses for geo-spatial technologies is the need of the hour. This paper presents a geo-spatial library (GSL), a repository of various spatial datasets and thematic images of various resolutions and formats accumulated in a centralized database which is necessary to support the needs of the academia, industry and governance. We also propose Open Geo-spatial Consortium(OGC) Web map server framework to support GSL and its role in knowledge management and capacity building.
