In this study, the modeling of photovoltaic panels used in the generation of electricity from solar energy, which is a widely used alternative energy source, is realized. The model of photovoltaic panel and array was obtained by using single diode modeling of photovoltaic cells forming a photovoltaic panel. Firstly, single-diode modeling of photovoltaic cell is performed. In this model, by using the number of cells used on the panel, the model of the panel and the series / parallel connection of the panels were obtained and the model of the photovoltaic array constituting the energy source in the system was obtained. In this study, photovoltaiv array that consists of six 1Soltech 1STH-215-P model panel was modeled. The model has two parallel arms with three series connected panels. The electrical working curves of the obtained model at different temperature and radiation values were obtained. It was seen that very close results were obtained with each model. The results show that the presented model can be used in preliminary studies such as energy calculation and general system simulation in photovoltaic system design.
