Measurement and Correlation of Saturated Vapor Pressure of Ethylphenyldimethoxysilane and Ethylphenyldiethoxysilane

Abstract: The saturated temperatures of ethylphenyldimethoxysilane (EPDMOS) and ethylphenyldiethoxysilane (EPDEOS) were determined using an inclined ebulliometer from 2.035 to 64.0 kPa. The experimental data were fitted with the Antoine and Clarke–Glew equations by a weighted least-squares regression method, which yielded Antoine parameters (A = 9.1280, B = 1590.18, C = −100.39 K and A = 9.1049, B = 1678.64, C = −102.84 K) and standard vaporization enthalpies (Δ l g H m 0(298.15 K) = 62.52 kJ·mol–1 and Δ l g H … Show more

“…Recently, Nannoolal et al proposed a new group contribution method to estimate critical property data for pure organic chemicals, and the method is based on structural group definitions, with minor modifications in the published method for the estimation of the normal boiling point in their earlier work . The method was found to perform significantly better in the estimation of critical properties than other methods (Joback Method, Constantinou and Gani, Marrero, and Pardillo) and therefore investigated in the present study . The critical parameters and detailed information, in particular for the critical temperature ( T c ), critical pressure ( P c ), and critical volume ( V c ) of methyl 4- tert -butylbenzoate based on the different group contribution technique are reported in Table and Table S1 in the Supporting Information.…”

“…Table reports the estimated values of the normal boiling point of methyl 4- tert -butylbenzoate based on the Antoine and Clarke–Glew equation. However, it should be noted that when the saturation temperatures higher than the applicable range are necessary for the design or as a guide for operation, both the Clarke–Glew as well as Antoine equations should be used with caution . The normal boiling point for methyl 4- tert -butylbenzoate is also estimated based on different group contribution methods (Supporting Information Table S1), and the values are reported in Table .…”
