Maprotiline, desTpramTne and moclobemTde are widely used Tn the treatment of depressTon. The content of these antidepressants in bulk drug and pharmaceutical formulations were de termined by ILC and in situ densitometry using a Camag scanner. In order to achieve the best condition, mathematical statistical model factorial design was chosen. The partition coeffi dents, calculated by applyng commercal drug design software, were correlated wth chroma tographic behaviour of these substances. After separation on Silica gel GF254 using propanol ethanol-ammonium solutTon (25%) (8:2:0.3 v/v/v) as the mobTle phase, the chromatographic zones correspondTng to the spots were scanned at 254 nm. AnalysTng Maprotilin | tablets, Pertartan | dragees and Auromid | film tablets examined the app licobTITiy of the method forsampies and dosage forms.
