“…The main contribution (up to ∼15%, for energy larger than 100 TeV) comes from the hadronic interaction model used for the MC simulation. The GEANT4-FTFP_BERT model is found to be in better agreement with flight and test beam data [23,24,45], and is therefore chosen for the computation of the p+He spectrum. To quantify the uncertainty resulting from this choice, the p+He spectrum is computed also using the FLUKA DPMJET-3 model for helium and GEANT4-QGSP_BERT for protons.…”

“…In-orbit Performance of the Silicon-Tungsten Tracker of the DAMPE Mission Xin Wu zero suppression thresholds when noise changes. The average noise is ~2.85 ADC, while the MIP signal for a particle hitting a readout(floating) strip is ~52(27) ADC (note the charge measurement of the STK is reported in another paper [4] in this proceedings). Another indicator of the excellent quality of the STK is the fraction of good channels (conservatively defined as noise < 5 ADC).…”

“…In order to reduce the proton contamination an additional cut on the first layer of STK is used. The charge measured in at least one of the first silicon layers (X or Y view) of STK has to be compatible with Helium charge, a description on the charge identification from STK can be found in [13]. This selection allows to have a good Helium identification before the interaction with the…”
