Abstract:Detection of material ingredients is the main goal of the Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) technique. However, the light signal from the very little elemental concentration is small enough to produce large errors (relatively large limit of detection LOD). In order to enhance the light signal (spectral radiance) from the very small impurity concentrations, we suggested the addition of drops of gold nanoparticles (NPs) solution on the surface of metallic titanium in what is called nanoparticle-enhance… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
