Measurement of Lycopene Effectiveness on Lung and Kidney Cancer Cells by Quantitative 1h Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Vitro

Abstract: This study aimed to utilize Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to monitor the effect of Lycopene on cultured cancer cells. Lycopene may be preventive against the development of cancer e.g. lung and kidney. The efficacy of lycopene (2.5 µL/mL, 5.0 µL/mL, and 20 µL/mL) was examined using MRI. T1 relaxation time was measured prior to and after 24 h of treatment of lung cancer cell line A549 and kidney cancer cell line ACHN cells.
