Measurements of branching fractions of leptonic and hadronic $ D_s^{+} $ meson decays and extraction of the $ D_s^{+} $ meson decay constant

Abstract: We find no significant signal for D + s → e + ν e decays and set an upper limit of B(D + s → e + ν e ) < 1.0(0.83) × 10 −4 at 95% (90%) confidence level.

“…CLEOc made separate measurements for τ + → e + ν e ν τ [1208], τ + → π + ν τ [1137], and τ + → ρ + ν τ [1209], BaBarmade separate measurements for τ + → e + ν e ν τ [1206] and τ + → μ + ν μ ν τ , Belle made separate measurements for τ + → e + ν e ν τ , τ + → μ + ν μ ν τ , and τ + → π + ν τ [1207], and BESIII made measurements using τ + → π + ν τ [1204] decays. Combining all of them we obtain the WA value of…”

“…The low backgrounds of an e + e − experiment allow one to study purely leptonic D [5], and inputting the value of f D s as calculated from lattice QCD [6] results in the world's most precise determination of |V cs |. The D − s → −ν event sample for Belle II will be significantly larger than that for Belle, and this will allow for a more precise determination of |V cs |.…”
