Abstract:Pakistan only contributes 1% of the global greenhouse gas emissions. The country’s substantial vulnerability to the effects of climate change was highlighted during the 2022 floods. One-third of the country was underwater, 33 million people were affected, and 8 million were displaced. The destruction caused by the 2010 floods is dwarfed by the disaster's scale in Pakistan.
